What Do You Want From Me

What Do You Want From Me

I try
I walk the line
Do what is righteous in the light
In the confession of my heart
Dear father, forgive my trespass
In darkness of mind
I circle in the crush of yesterdays
Where are my shoes of today
So I can walk through the desires of tomorrow
Corruption from the clouds of power
Blame it on the rain but it's a fine day
What do you want from me
In the confusion of my heart
Dear father, unburden my prayer
Heavy is the heart after dark
