WHAT DOES IT PROVE?

Why all the competing what does it prove
does it prove “I am better than you”
All it proves it is all about “me”
if we stopped competin..love would flow free

We would help all of those who are in need
the world would be a happy place indeed
No one hungry with no place to live
if we stopped taking and learnt to give

If we thought about others and had a united world
oh how wonderful for boys and girls
Teach them to reach out to those in need
No more competition no more greed

Love would flow right across this earth
stop the competition let love birth
So much competition in everything
hearts so filled with “I must win”

We only win when peace reigns
when our aims are all the same
To see this world filled with the love of God
when we all walk the same path Jesus trod
