Poem -

What Fills a Mama's Heart

 Do you know what fills

 A mama’s heart

 It’s filled with worries

Worried that you might hurt yourself

Worried that no one will ever

 Be good enough to fill

That empty space in your heart

 It fills with pride

Proud when you learn to talk

Proud when you walk the aisle

 It fills with sadness

 Sad when you cry

 Sad when she cries

 And you no longer can

 It fills with love

 Enough love to overflow

The dry barren lake her heart

 Was before you

Before you first smiled at her

Before you first held her finger

 With your tiny hand

 Before you ever said

 “I love you too Mama”

 A mama’s heart

 Is filled with many things

 But most of all

 A mama’s heart if filled

 With love

Absolutely beautiful pen! A mother will never stop loving just like you should never stop writing!
