What happened to us?

Once my best friend,

Now my enemy.

We once walked hand in hand,

Now I watch as you flee.

When I turned and looked,

You were always there.

Now I see what you took,

Into the abyss I stare.

I am powerless now,

Nothing to do but wait.

Not knowing when, where or how,

Each day, awaiting my fate.

Shall I smile, laugh or cry?

How will it go my friend?

When will I last close my eyes.

Only on you, TIME, it depends.
