What I wanted most

What I wanted most

It was on my twelfth birthday it came.
In a black box with a red lid
properly packed by wrapping paper,
little knot within a ribbon
band of silk, box of leather.

It opened nice and smooth.
CreaklessΒ
CracklessΒ
Clear and sparkly sphere
in my sight.
My hand went forwardΒ
surreal like,
because this is what I wanted,
what I needed.....

No puzzle piece or castle flaunt
nothing normal boys would want.
Simply this
glossy
cricket ball.
My very own cricket ball.

Awesome work champ!
I personally love cricket and I think it's a brilliant sport. This poem really shows how much you love the game!
