What if I'm the one, that was meant to rescue you

in the never ending search for your salvation
what if I'm the one, your heart cried out to
on those cold lonely nights for companionship and inspiration
What if I'm the one, you knew existed, somewhere but just didn't know how to find
what if I'm the one, who infiltrated your dreams, and constantly occupied your mind
what if, by chance, he is I and I am him, yet you overlooked for the next heart break
what if all your other loves disappointed you somehow, cause they never stood up to the myth
what if I'm the one, you were meant to love
to cherish, and adore forever
to carry you across, the troubling times, when you feel you can't go on
to wipe away your teary eyes, and give you the strength to fight on
to brighten you day
to light up your way
what if....only you knew I was the one
