What is Fate?

What is Fate?

Growing up, our lives are planned out for us,

We’re supposed to follow a given path,

Supposed to be good at a specific sport,

We’re all supposed to listen to the boss.

At home, we’re all supposed to have a nice family,

We’re all supposed to get along,

Be nice, don’t fight,

We’re all supposed to love one another.

But what about in between all the rules?

What would happen if we decided our own fate,

Our own β€˜happily ever after’?

Because one day,

There won’t be a path to follow,

There won’t be any boss to hate,

One day, there won’t be any family to love.

What if from the start, we were on our own?

Would we dream about that perfect family?

Would we want that sport to play?

What if all along, there were no happy ending?
