WHAT IS IN A NAME ?

Famous people with names of a town or a city
Can be considered humorous, funny and witty
To start this poem a ventriloquist from yesteryear
Rod Hull and his emu bought happiness and cheer

Moving on to a disc jockey of worldwide fame
Tony Blackburn is the man with a town in his name
I must not forget the lovely ladies whatever I do
Jean Harlow and Barbara Windsor are actresses two

Who first started this name game I cannot say
People believe it was the presidents of the USA
George Washington and Abe Lincoln back up the idea
With that thought I will finish this poem my dear
