What Is Religion?
Religion is a gift from God. Meant to teach love, meant to create peace, meant to install hope, meant to show forgiveness. Meant to be the words of God. Whether it is Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, or Judaism. It's a gift meant to be accepting of all people. To lead people to some form of a promised paradise. The stairway to heaven. Religion is a book made up of stories, guides, and rules. It is Gods words. Words given to holy men to inscribe. Religion is church on Sundays, is mosque on Fridays, is prayers sung before you sleep, is prayers done before you eat. It is prayers sung five times a day or done in times of great dismay. It Is holy days like Ramadan, Hanukah, and Lent. Religion if done right will be in times of darkness your piece of light.
 What is religion?
Religion is the greatest weapon in the world. It is the cause that leads the wars. It is the cause of mass destruction, killings, and suicides. Evil leaders preach it. Innocent followers follow it. It gave dictators like Hitler and terrorists like Bin Laden power to control, power to kill, and power to destroy. Religion has a powerful influence and control over much of humanity. Being able to control religion and changing it to weapon has been done for centuries.
What is religion?
It was meant to teach love but brought nothing but hate. It was meant to create peace and led nothing but wars. It was meant to bring more hope but ended up taking it away. It was meant to show forgiveness but that meant nothing in a just world. What was meant to bring humanity together is the very reason that separated them. Before it was Muslim, now it is Sunni or Shia. Religion was meant to be chosen but now it is assigned.
What is religion?
It was to be the light for humanity. It will be the end of mankind.
