What you gave me

What you gave me

Sometimes I forget that you’re real
That you’re not just a figure of my imagination,
You helped me at a point where I needed to heal
You gave me hope in todays generation.

You gave me a sense of hope
Helped me see what I could not see before,
You made me better in times I could not cope
My walls had been broken down and hit the floor.

Before you came along
I had given up on love and devotion,
But my feelings for you are strong
They go as deep as the ocean.

I know deep down you do not feel the same
But an important part of my life is what you became.
