Whatever It Takes....

Whatever It Takes....

Blessed with a beautiful family
I must be strong, to help them to grow
For their long term health and happiness
True devotion I'm willing to show
You can't be a part-time parent
Expecting your kids to be happy
There's more to being a father
Than changing the odd dirty nappy
I need to teach them life skills
Like compassion, patience, and respect
If i can't show my children these qualitys
They won't learn, and I can't expect
From as early as I can remember
My parents worked hard, day and night
Raising a family's a tough old slog
But boy, did they put up a fight
We never wanted for anything
Myself and my little brother
And for that, I give the utmost respect
To my wonderful father and mother
Now I'm a dad, and its my turn
In this magical circle of life
Blessed with four healthy children
Truly loved, by my beautiful wife
Nothing in life is ever perfect
In truth, we've all made mistakes
The time has come to show my wife
That I'll do, whatever it takes....
