What's It Like To Die?
Those who believe but consider that you may be wrong,
there may not be such an easy path to a heavenly song;
I've just watched my wife being lowered into the ground,
you have no answers, no proper solace that I have found.
However, her spirit is stiill with me, how beautiful she was,
there was no effort on her part - it was simply because;
she liked red roses, so I bought some just to remind me,
her persona, magic, presence and incredible mystery.
She liked birds, I'm going to paint some right on the wall,
when I look at them, then I'll maybe not feel so bad at all;
you tend to push these things aside, it will happen to you,
still not ready to believe that we'll not do things we used to.
We'll be together again one day - 'Hey, look at you mon ami,'
you gave my life wonder and everything I ever wanted to be.
