When the Enemy Knocks

It's confusing isn't it?
I love him and him only
His smile, his personality, his charm
But he leaves me confused
But then his nemesis comes along
I should hate him but I can't
He's blinded me with a mirage
I'm mesmerized by the adrenalin in his eyes
He knows what to say
How and where to touch
One night with him will be pure pleasure
Agonizing loins without doubt
I shouldn't ...
But can I resist?
My body is yearning for what I'm desperately needing
But will it be worth it?
Should I sacrifice my love for lust
He's the enemy
I'm succumbing to his plan
One minute with him will turn my lover's life into a misery
It's not worth it that I know
But it's easier said than done
I'm falling
And falling hard
He has hypnotized me
I can't seem to resist his charisma
He's eyeing me like a hawk to his prey
He's playing mind games with my integrity
But my love is a force not to be reckoned with
His true intensions revealed
His plan makes my blood boil
Turning that lust to vengeance
A tsunami of hate heading to his destination
I'll rise when his volcano erupts
He shouldn't have messed with our love
In his sorrow we shall rejoice
Loyalty is questioned when the enemy knocks.

Tamia, this is golden, fresh and vibrant tone; very original feel to your poetry (what is it about poetry and Trini's, these days?) enjoyed the write a great deal....ode to standing up strong against the enemy of true love....cheers sis....curious if you've heard of Carolyn Correia; she's a writer and my first cousin; from Diego Martin?
