WHEN I ARRIVED . . . . . . .

WHEN  I  ARRIVED  . . . . . . .

There was nothing, only some tall green leafy trees,
moonlight from two moons cast shadows from canopies;
nothing turned into something with pictures on a wall,
reminders of events and what had been my downfall.

I loooked straight ahead at shades of green, pinky red,
my footsteps were light as tho' load gone from my tread;
someone in a picture came out and stood before me,
it was mother with Peter Pan collar, wore court shoes nicely.

Could not touch, could not speak, entered pic on other wall,
it didn't matter because what I'd just seen was magical;
she'd filled my head, a spiritual guide, lifted me along,
I thought I could hear the sound of a beautiful song.

I quickened my step as tho' something gtreat at the end,
then I knew that it was where love would finally transcend.
