Poem -

When Death Knocks

Death he comes knocks at your door
He told you that you'll live no more
He told you that it was your time
To leave this world; your past behind.
You told him no and pushed away
You ran but at last you could not escape
He told you things would be alright
But you have to leave your body behind
He took your soul, your breath, your heart
And soon the two of you were off to depart
Into a place where the sun, the stars, the moon
Shine high above and love is in full bloom
The place he took you is not heaven
But in your house where the past and present
Remember your life and legacy
With joy and no uncertanties
That somewhere someday we'll meet again
And soon we'll be together my friend
