Poem -

When the kookaburra stops laughing

A little diddy

He looked into the abyss
Death looked into him

The tide pulled at his eyes

His mind unwound

The rope he used to tether himself

Useless

A landscape before him

Undone among clouds

He would think to himself;

Were it not for her

A prism of light

Night would uncurle
