Poem -

When the monster calls

I stare at the walls
Painstakingly white
Color, Color on the wall
Why'd you have to pry?

You see what you shouldn't
What goes on under your
watchful eyes
Is not for eyes to see.

You see everything
and nothing really
What you should be feeling
you don't feel.

You remain stoic
solid and painstakingly white
Unyielding and Unfeeling.

THUD! THUD!

The knocking starts
shards of glass slides through
the monster of glass is here,
and he's broken before he can enter.

And I'm left here to ponder
About the reeking stench of failure
And of glass pieces.

Won't you please hold me
for some time,
before the monster resuscitates

I'm still stuck
If I could......
...Only liberate myself
before the glass monster awakes

Color, color on the wall
color me white
So I blend right in.
