Poem -
Where is Love?
Where in the pockets of my heart
have you gone
Oh rising sun?
Where between the moon and earth
did I lose your words?
Those soft subtle trills
that once thrilled
Spilled inside the valleys of my pumping chambers
Where solace savours the soul
betwixt the racing pulse that feeds these empty veins
To sooth my aches
My pains
Oh where might I find you now?
Call to me...
So I might bury the remnants of this wanting heart
Inside your warmth
That which brought such light to a dark promise
An honest whisper
Slipped from the lips of a humble mind
Tell me love
Where might I find?
That which told my heart
“Be kind”

OH MY GOD GWENDOLINE!!....this is poetry all dressed up in its finest!!....The agony of loneliness is expressed so BEAUTIFULLY here.....so much so that it has me sitting here just lingering in the aftermath of the effect that it had on this reader.....OUTSTANDING phrasing, formatting, and imagery that comes so trippingly well off the tongue that when read aloud it brings VERY powerful emotion to the forefront.....but for me it is in the subtle elegance of the whole that sets it FAR apart from the field!!......PINNED!!.....you are such a fine wordsmith G!!.....Wow!!.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo : )
