Where Souls Go

Where Souls Go

Where on earth do souls go,
Where could they possibly flow
That would let them grow
Away from earth, cold as snow,
But although
We believe that down below
Away from this world, a hollow
And shallow
Beast of a show
God will eventually bestow
Upon our souls, a tornado
Of ideas dead long ago
The right to pass through no-
man's land to heaven, so
We have peace to shine and glow.
But, who says so?
What's to say we go
Beyond the borders of this world's woe?
Perhaps our souls are more cursed and slow
Than we have been taught to throw
Around our heads.  Oh,
Our souls perhaps are trapped in tow
Like a flying crow
Being caught and tricked by a scarecrow.
So,
Be careful with your soul, a lotto
Ticket given at random by a shadow
Of a show.
And just maybe so
You will let your soul go,

And rest in peace.
