White roses

Walked into the local grocery store on my way home,

The one we always stopped to buy milk,

Seeing the flowers,

the ones you always stopped to smell,

they seemed to never sell,

Today they'll leave out the door,

White roses in a brown bag,

the ones you always stopped to smell,

the ones I stopped to smell today,

made me forget,

to buy that dry gin,

so I could forget that you've gone away.
