Who called me?

Who called me?

Who called me?

Who called me to this windswept outpost?
Like a granite sentinel I stand
Betwixt 2 seas.
Elementals my constant companions
This place beyond the ken of time
Washed by winds and waves.

Thoughts torn from the breast before they have had chance to root in the shallow salty earth.
This land far away from earth and trees,
From the comfort of woodsmoke
And the warmth of fire

Who called me to this salty shore?
Or did I of mine own free will
Return to dwell once more.
