Why?
Why did he do what he did?
Why did he touch her like that?
I love her.

I can’t believe that there’s someone so heartless,
Someone who would hurt someone who is loved.
Will she ever look at a guy the same way?

Why couldn’t he just listen when she said no?
Will she wake up from this hell?
This is why she has scars on her wrists.

From where she was hurt.
I hold her hand.
1,2,3 I count,
1,2,3 I count the scars on her pale wrists.
“I love you,” I say hoping she’ll wake.
