Why can’t people just be happy?

For the first time in my life I’m genuinely happy.

So why all the jealousy and hatred.

I thought you’d be happy for me,

Finally to be happy in this life of mine.

It’s not so though.

You’d rather reduce my loved one to tears.

Just from all the vileness and lies,

About herself she hears.

If only people knew liz like I do,

They’d retract their bad thoughts,

Through and through.

How can something just be rewound,

Then changed into something false but anew?

Have you got a screw loose,

Not just 1,

I mean a few.

To be thinking like that,

Isn’t a colour that looks good on any of you.

False in everything but name.

False where your mind is set to play.

False in every single,

God damned way.

Falsity exudes from you.

Being false,

Now that’s your game.

Has being false though,

Given you in life,

Anymore gain?

As falsity to me,

Only ever brings with it,

Tumultuous pain.

Why be false?

Leave that world slain.

Start to be real,

On the right tracks,

Waiting at the station,

For the right train.

Then I forget,

You’re not quite the ticket.

You’re not quite sane.

Inside you,

 there resides,

no normality of a brain.

As a brain such as yours,

Like Jekyll and Hyde,

Is criminally insane.

Whether unhappy,

Mad or sad.

Just know I’m not the same.

I’ll always be happy,

Not even having to try in vein.

Love and happiness for me is all I want,

Over and over and over again!

No more days drenched in doubt.

No more days,

Am I in or am I out.

No more days I set out in search of happiness.

As every day carries so much good,

Not bad clout.

There’s no need to switch or even change lanes,

As I’m not turning backwards,

Just straight ahead,

On my lifes roundabout!

So just leave Liz and I happy.

Stop trying to intervene.

Our lives aren’t up for discussion,

So please,

Keep out,

Your most unwanted snout,

As well as the lies,

Popping out of your bodies split seams!
