Why Can't You See Me?

Why can’t you see me?
Surrounded by falling leafs yet there are no trees, I am flower yet you see me as a thorn, you continue look over me when I’m right in front of you.  My gestures of love go un-acknowledged; my words fall on deaf ears, my heart aches as it yearns for the warmth of love, thru your eyes you think its sunshine, when the rest of the world can see that it’s clearly rain. Do I stay and continue to feel neglected?  Do I give in to doubt? How much can an empty heart endure? A helpless puppy abused by its owner wonders what he did wrong to deserve such pain. I to wonder why a life of happiness cannot be realized, today I stand alone without your love finally empowered by my will to walk away and find my true paradise for this you call me mean and cold, where have you been,  why can’t you see me?
