Poem -

Why Do I Love You

I love you, for who you are,Β
for what you mean to me.Β
Ever present glowing star,Β
across a darkened sea.Β
\People often cross our path,Β
there is no way to know.Β
They might talk or share a laugh,Β
with nothing real to show.Β
\You were different from the start,Β
quite evident to me.Β
Golden eyes to match your heart,Β
did not take long to see.Β
\Words may fail when I begin,Β
to speak on your behalf.Β
But we both take comfort in,Β
God's soothing rod and staff.Β
\I'll stay near, not ever far,Β
my love, stay near me too.Β
I love you, for who you are,Β
and who I am with you.
