Poem -

why dont they see?

Why should we suffer in silence?

For if silence is more powerful than words, why don’t they hear our cries?

For the hungry are in need of supplies, yet they still don’t hear our  cries.

And for how many more people need to die, before they open their eyes?

For their ignorance is bliss, let me tell you this,

while you drink your champagne, and don’t dare to abstain,

there is young children dying in pain.

And while you sit in your private plane

Children strive for a grain,

while you’re living life in the fast lane, who are you to complain?

I don’t think you take time to stop and see, for what you don’t know and what you don’t see means you can live your life more comfortably.

So I plea just take the time to stop and see.

Hear their cries, stop and see.
