Poem -

WHY SO SLY?

Nirvana you fleetingly romantic tripe

Do bother a forgetful fool

And not I

I see you pulling the wool

Over the eyes of those that follow you

And I want to cry

Ignorance is your trade

You consciously disregard memories

And remodel the truth

Oh how grandly you do lie

I think you are too sly

You hint at the ideal

And seductively choose images

That are soothing to minds

That will always try to forget

You never abandon the truth

But why do you always partly lie?

You recall the better bits

Of a time that never was

Fiction is the new truth

The ideal nought but

A pyramid scheme

You are an ignoble king

Pride is your best weapon

You never admits defeat

You engage in such wanton deceit

All for glory which has clay feet

Mantras and rhetoric

Bolster your might

Inertia of conscience

Your secret spite

Everyone who see you

Should take flight

Stolen memories

Truth hidden

Actions forgotten

Demons beaten

History guilt ridden
