Wild River

The river flows
Sometimes swift sometimes slow
It's eddies swirl and sends out ripples
Shattering the streetlight glow
The rains came slashing, thunder crashing
A king hightide trying to slow the flow
Aided by a full force wind
The current unsure which way to go.
Thus the scene is set
For what may happen yet as the river swells
Willows bend and in the end
May giveway to Natures spells.
Morning comes grey and dull and misty
The river rumbles on to the sea
Bubbleing and grumbleing
Exporting logs of tree debris.
Days later now as calmness reigns
Riverside dwellers with hands to lend
Help each other with all the chores
And a herritage river-wall to mend.
