Wildflower

Wildflower

She liked to run amidst the fields
To let the wind set her heart free,
Always wanting something more,
Discontent to merely be.
She would come home with bouquets
Of flowers shoved between her fists,
For they taught her that beauty
Is more than living simply to exist.
So she planted herself in places
That she was not destined to grow,
And went to all the cities
Where she was not supposed to go,
And like those wildflowers,
Unexpectedly, she grew,
Causing everyone around her
To feel as free as she did too.
