Wildflowers

The sun kisses
the earth that yields,
wildflowers to delight
Spring“s fair fields.
Amongst the coolĀ
sweet grass that grows,
to chase away winter“s
last streaks of snow.
Nurtured by the light
of sun,moon and stars,
to sweeten the Earth
and soothe it“s scars.
Shade for theĀ
sun delirious worm,
that wriggles
wrinkled and bent,
The waltzing wasp
floats flustered,Ā
merry on sweet
wildflower scent.
Never to fade and die,
but to fly their colours
on the wings of butterflies,
away to the stars
as a rainbow comet
across the sky.
