Poem -

Will God forgive me

Will God forgive me

Will God forgive me
Will He understand why
Will he just give me time
Time to get by
In my heart I try
Wrongs the right
The battles......the fight
Will he forgive me for I did not know
A unwanted seed forced to grow
Planted forever are memories alone
Im In this on my own
Will God forgive me
Will he understand why
Will he just give me...
Time to get by
I'm lost beyond despair
Heart broken beyond repair
A sinner by choice I suppose
Will God forgive me for those
Lies told
Truth to unfold
Will God forgive me
Will he hear my cry
Will he answer my prayers
Before its my time to die
I bow as a sinner
I tear like a youth
I beg for forgiveness
For in my heart lies my truth
Will God forgive me!

Brother Morris,

I'm trying not to play favorites on here- but since truth lay at the center of this poem- I'll stay true to that. This is heartfelt and humble. This is only my opinion- but God knows what He made- we cannot surprise Him- we cannot hide. We know right from wrong- and so a conscious man should understand that consequences are simply one thing following another. If we have done somebody wrong, making amends to that person (if possible) is how we earn God's forgiveness. Peace.
