WILLIAM THE SNAIL

In all kinds of weathers without failĀ
Crawling along was William the snailĀ
Winter, spring, autumn and summertimeĀ
William I dedicate you this poem and rhymeĀ
William the snail was not very quickĀ
Looking for a new home sometimes under a brickĀ
He catered for his family gave them grass to eatĀ
Scraps the birds had left were considered a treatĀ
Whenever I cut my grass William was always thereĀ
Going about his business William didn't seem to careĀ
William the snail you are part of my lifeĀ
One fine day I will introduce you to the wifeĀ

Hi Keiran..I have just read this to my youngest godchild and he absolutely loved it! as do I.Strangely as I was reading this it reminded me so much of my Father who was never the 'life and soul' of the party typeĀ Ā but like the snail he was ALWAYS there caring quietly and lovingly for his family and providing them with everything they ever needed..It's a beautiful, funny, reflective piece of work which I liked very much my friend!
