WILLIAM THE SNAIL

WILLIAM THE SNAIL

In all kinds of weathers without fail
Crawling along was William the snail
Winter, spring, autumn and summertime
William I dedicate you this poem and rhyme

William the snail was not very quick
Looking for a new home sometimes under a brick
He catered for his family gave them grass to eat
Scraps the birds had left were considered a treat

Whenever I cut my grass William was always there
Going about his business William didn't seem to care
William the snail you are part of my life
One fine day I will introduce you to the wife

Hi Keiran..I have just read this to my youngest godchild and he absolutely loved it! as do I.Strangely as I was reading this it reminded me so much of my Father who was never the 'life and soul' of the party type   but like the snail he was ALWAYS there caring quietly and lovingly for his family and providing them with everything they ever needed..It's a beautiful, funny, reflective piece of work which I liked very much my friend!
