A RAY OF DAWN
Alluring daylight has vanished
Sharp rays of dawn diminished
Like feather drips from a falcon's flight.
The darkness drops from the wings of night.
I see the shades and shadows of a village
Sparkle through the walls of my cottage
And a feeling of sadness comes like a mist
that my soul many times cannot resist
A feeling of melancholy and longing,
Thought of you as my own belonging
That is not yet kept and hidden in pain,
As the morning mist resembles the rain.
