Windmill

Windmill

Once there were manyĀ
Integral part of rural lifeĀ
The Miller and his millĀ
Who did the equivalent with wheatĀ
Of turning water into wine .

The harvest was deliveredĀ
The huge sails turnedĀ
Dancing to the tunes of wind plains
Crucial cog in the food chainĀ

The Windmill deserves its pageĀ
In the annals of rural history .

Being Me

A lively tribute poem to windmills. They are rather special aren't they?

Whatever happened to the beauty of the past Chris? Seems to me as the graft is just as hard for the working population we might at least have the beauty to look at ...instead of modern ugliness šŸ˜‘x
