Windrush Mistrust

Another wonderful example set,
By this country's most dangerous threat
It's not in Syria or in Iran,
It's not even that rather orange looking American
No, it's on this land, on this soil,
Where our Government thrives off people living in turmoil
We've been told the very foundations of this nation,
Don't belong and they risk deportation
Families that helped rebuild our economy after World War II,
Were told they'd be scrutinized and subject to review
What kind of Government refuses to trust its own people?
Democracy shouldn't be seen as damaged or feeble
However, credit where credit is due,
The timing of this story was straight and true
All the while, us Brits were whipped into a frenzy by the media,
And yet not one headline about our bombs killing in Syria...
