TV: The Cruel Mistress

TV: The Cruel Mistress

Sat in this dystopia
full of hypocrisy,
Maybe it's you
or more likely it's me,

We're all glued to the TV
with fifty million channels
Where's the key to the shackles
round our ankles?

We all suffer
from this digital dementia,
But there's no doctor
who can make us feel better.

She's a cruel mistress
and you'll never forget her
By the end of the show
you'll be wishing
that you never met her.
