Poem -

Winter

Winter is a polar bear galloping thunderously towards you.

Its strides getting closer ready to break through.

It can sense your fear and dread of its coming.

Every step that it takes leaves your head drumming.

It is everywhere yet nowhere waiting to pounce.

It stops when you have ceased to flounce.

Then comes the roar as it starts to charge.

Flurries then snow and blizzards at large.

Though you dread it you admire its beauty.

A big white coat with paws sooty.

You lose your dread and start to befriend the creature.

You become used to each and every feature.

It rests on the ground creating a blanket of white.

Laying awhile making everything bright.

Then comes his brother out of the cave yawning.

And the warmth embarks a new season dawning.
