winter memory
- cinnamon apples, warm dunking doughnuts
- smelling crispy new pastry,hot creamy milkÂ
- white cotton snow,cold icy lakesÂ
- melting cheese on toast,sausage rolls just bakedÂ
- past images of younger selvesÂ
- snow fights and snowmenÂ
- crackle of the log fireÂ
- mesmerizing are the flamesÂ
- marshmallows on sticksÂ
- cold fingers and toesÂ
- bright eyes at the wonderÂ
- wish winter not to goÂ
- tucked up at nightÂ
- dream of the fun you hadÂ
- winter when your free and youngÂ
- when cold was all but sadÂ
