Poem -

Winter's Feast

When the winter's snow and sleet blow
Our outdoor critters and birds find nothing to eat.
Do plan to fill your flower boxes with feed
And all will be rewarded with their hunger need.
I enjoy working at my kitchen table
And looking at the flower boxes filled with beauties
Of birds and even squirrels climbing and flying in for treats
They have found a winter weather food retreat.
Then the suet bell which is nestled in the rhodedendron
Provides more food for the birds who nestle in the branch tendon
And the finch feeder on the porch swing chain
Bring those sweet housefinches for food to gain.
So do not forget God's creatures in the wintertime
Their needs for food are just like yours and mine.
Remember that God does not forget the swallow
