Winter's Magic

The frost is on the window the leaves are on the ground 
I see some tiny snowflakes slowly drifting down 
It's sad to know that summer had finally slipped away 
And yet I feel some magic in this cold and wintry day 
\Could it be the sounds of giving I keep hearing in my mind 
And the thousand little secrets that are whispered from behind 
Could it be the joy of sharing and the shoppers to and fro 
And maybe all the little kisses underneath the mistletoe 
\I hear a tapping on my window and a little friend is here 
All wrapped up in coats and boggans with a smile from ear to ear 
In his shivering arms he's holding a little package wrapped in green 
And as he enters through my doorway then I know what winter means 
\It means the joy of christmas and the happiness of friends 
The lively sounds of sleigh bells and the laughter from within 
It means that spring is coming with the melting of the snow 
But for now I'll enjoy winter and all the magic that it has
