Wise Owl Hunting

Wise Owl Hunting

Watching, wondering

the wise old owl looks

ever vigilant

its talons curled hooks

listening tentatively

for mice down below

as she sits so still

silent as the snow

her plumage blends in

with nature around

patience is the game

as she makes no sound

how long she will wait

longer than I would

her eyes miss nothing

for this owl`s so good

I watch her for hours

now chilled to the bone

so I`ll take my leave

let her hunt alone
