I wish
you understood
why the current 
pulls away
from your feet

I wish you
took the 
time to see
the reflection
in my eyes

Much can be told
when we pause
from the egocentric
force
that drives us

I wish 
I hesitated
just for a
moment
to cherish 
the breath you took
absorbed
your spirit 
appreciated
your intent

Wishes
are like
dreams
their realism
becomes
apparent
only after
time
crosses 
the blackhole
of what 
might have been
