Wishes

“Fingers are crossed for Christmas snow,
Cranberry kisses beneath mistletoe.
Presents trussed under a plastic pine,
A fridge full of food and too much wine.
A friend with benefits dressed as an elf,
Cards from well-wishers filling a shelf.
Midnight Mass with a kindly stranger,
And the age old story of a baby in a manger.”

Hello Lee
I liked the rhyming in this poem, the whole piece had a nice rhythmic flow to it. I think you penned a number of Christmas traditions for most in this write.
Thanks for sharing
All the best
