With Time

Time ticks away 
a new day 
tomorrow brings 
my heart stings 
from today’s pain 
hopefully by tomorrow 
it’ll all fade away 
and my heart can sing 
refreshing my mind 
restoring our love 
no longer feeling threats
from who I was 
because we both know 
who I am, now
