Poem -

WITNESS

I once saw a killer stalking his prey
I watched from a distance not knowing what to say
A flash of light that catches the blade
Arm poised ready  braced  for attack
Hes going to stab her in the back
The knife goes in with so much force
Again he stabs her without remorse
Blood now flows across the floor
Her eyes are solemn dull with light
As this poor woman begs for her life
The man looks back with eyes of coal
Staring right into the woman's soul
She raises her hand pleading for him to stop
The man looks back as her body flops
She lies there her breath short and shallow
Her skin now deprived of all its blossom
One more breath now its all over
Her body bloody lays in the gutter
He turns around to see me run
knowing I know what hes done
I am the witness that watched from yonder
Now i will always be looking over my shoulder
As the killer knows his life could soon be over.

Lost
