Wolves

Wolves

The wolves come in the night
They take my son away
He goes willingly
The also come in the day

They take life from him
Nothing is ever given back
He is one of them
Sometimes he leads their pack

Their power is immense
Today he wants to go
He is forced to go with them
Impossible to say no

I try to hold him back
He thanks me for it
Then pushes me away
Survival of the fit

Now they come to you
He leads them again today
Scratching at your door
They take your son away
