Words that come to late

Words that come to late

As he kissed her one last he whispered "Hun I have to go, I promise I'll be back and I'll call you tonight" tears quickly filled her eyes as she whispered back "ok sweetie". He wrapped his arms around her one last time and slowly started to back away. With each step he took she felt her heart rip from her chest. She watched him walk to the car and drive away, she just stood there crying. The world didn't matter and time at that moment was just a made up thing. She had never felt this empty before, and in her gut she knew but didn't dare admit he wasn't coming back.

She wanted to dream that tomorrow morning she'll open her eyes and he'll be laying there next to her smiling running his fingers through her thick curly hair. She wanted the last of his kiss to last forever. She wanted to pretend that she was going to be ok and still be able to smile. All he asked her before he left was to see her smile but she couldn't muster up the strength to smile. Her whole world was crashing down and the only person who could save her just walked away.

She's alone again and she's terrified. All she wants to is give up, there's no one fighting for her anymore. So she sits in the dark carving out her problems, trying to wish all her bad luck away. But no matter how hard she prays her tears muffle the sound of her words, and God's stopped listening. At this point all she can do is sin and hope that someone dare forgive her in the end. She took that last good bye for granted, and now she sits and stairs at the empty walls in her room. Dreams dance across her face as demons pull her closer.

The light is slowly fading from her eyes and so is her smile, the last thing he ever wanted to see. She could never find the words till now, but now is to late and like an idiot she'll stand here and wait thinking he'll come home and make her smile again...Only time will tell. Time hasn't really been her friend lately. It's like every time she turns around something else is failing. First the roof, then her tree, now her heart.

She can't take much more, God I hope you're listening I've stopped breathing, I've stopped hoping to see the light all I do is fight and in the end I'm still a failure. I'm so lost all I want to do is cry. What the hell is my next move? Am I just suppose to die? Maybe I'll just dream, since I'm here alone tonight, I'll just close my eyes and pretend that for one night everything will be alright, as long as the Nightmares don't eat me first.Β
