World is going to shit

The world is going to shit at phenomenal speed
There is no truth left for us to read
Genders unknown, humanity yet to be shown
Fighting over things that we don't own
We fought for survival, we cherished love
We made love with care, and no mystery to solve
Now it's all meaningless sex with no passion
Forbidding love by any means
Allowed to express ourselves only by aggression
Putting down the pen, picked up a screen
Meaning lost its way
Just for our emptiness to be seen

A lot of people wanted it this way...
Maybe, losing Colleges was another surprise?
It didn't have anything to do with peoples lives...
It had nothing to do with having prosperity...
Was this another thing they didn't care about?

I'm not getting anything...
I get a lot of shrugs...
That isn't a one size answer...
Some shrugs are short and some are longer...
