Poem -

Would You Stay Another Day

The ones who wouldn't leave

They stuck around because

no one wants a suicide on their hands

They don't want to feel the guilt

of hurting a human soul

Though theirs is fading day by day

till the death they promised they'd stay

Neglect and pain

Physical and mental

Its all acid to the life inside

and the spirit that kept them alive for

so long

"I need to be more understanding."

they say, as lies fill their ears

sadness fills their hearts

tears fill their eyes

and mental blows fill their brains

The brains they'll soon blow out

on the night they can't take it all anymore

The hurtful words and painful hands

will soon be bullets

And little did they know

the suicide on their hands

would be their own
