Writer's Bane

Writer's Bane

I once knew
Β a muse long ago
When flowers
Bloomed all in a row
Fur and feathers
Sat along with me,
Resting underΒ
Willow tree

Pen and parchment
Poised to write,
I just couldn't bring
verse to light
Pounding words
Refused to reign
Stuck insideΒ
Obstructed brain.

Green grass implant
Its breath,
Lingering, till spring
Found death
Summer came
Warm and bright
Oh twas suchΒ
woeful blight

Autumn blew in to
Stay a spell,
Wishing fond
Solstice farewell
Winter cold and
Foreboding
Stilled waters
consorting

Trapped under
Shards of ice
PayingΒ
frosty price
Caught in time
Still as glass,
notions long
sinceΒ pass
Β

"Summer came
Warm and bright
But words refused
to write"

Sometimes it takes forever to overcome a block. BeatifBeaut written.
